Class Act: HH Sheikh Mohammed Congratulated France With This Extremely Thoughtful Tweet

What a final and what an end to the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Croatia entered the final as underdogs, but certainly gave the French favourites a run for their money in an epic final – the most goals scored in a final since 1966 England Vs West Germany.

The world has come out to congratulate the team who can count this as their second ever World Cup title win…

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai tweeted his congratulations

Dubai’s Ruler congratulated France for the win, Croatia for a beautiful game, and Russia for the incredible event

And the people of France praised the message

‘Long live the friendship between the UAE and France’

Meanwhile in Dubai: venues were bursting at the seams with supporters last night

Our own Burj Khalifa lit up to congratulate the winners

And Emirates flights – which live stream matches were INSANE!

And reports of queues out the door at Barasti, which could barely contain supporters

Now, we wait four and a half years until the next FIFA World Cup

After it was announced this week that the next event, which is being hosted by Qatar, will begin in November rather than July
