Sunday mornings are never going to be your favorite part of your week. At least with this lot you have lots of things to look forward to!

1. Global Village

This is an amazing five month extravaganza of festivals, food and shopping. The event hosts over 70 countries and has got some great rides for the kids (and of course for yourself if you feel like acting like a six old). Admission is free and the event takes place in the Global Village.

2. Chuckle Club International Standup Comedy Tour

Tonight is the last night of this monthly LOLfest, tickets are AED 120 so grab them quickly. Any excuse to pretend it's still the weekend eh?!

3. Above and Beyond

Ever wondered what it's like to go to space? This incredibly realistic (apparently) flight simulator is going to be in Children's City, Creek Side Park until next Saturday. It's free admission so if you want to be an astronaut for a bit all you need to do is turn up!

4. Dubai Motor Festival

Back with a bang for the third year in a row, motor enthusiasts are incredibly excited about this one. Loads of events are happening over the coming weeks, we're particularly excited about the rally which starts on the 19th. Check this site for more info on all events.

5. International Coffee and Tea Exhibition 2015

We love tea and we certainly love coffee so we're leaping at the opportunity to see the world's best cuppas being made. Maybe we'll be offered a taster! Join us at the Meydan Hotel from Wednesday - Friday. Admission is free.

6. Omar Khairat is performing live

If you're a fan of this legendary Egyptian composer you're probably well aware that he's taking to the stage this Thursday at Emirates golf club. Price varies depending on ticket.

7. We Run DXB

This is the second time they've run (!) this event here in Dubai, where beginners, intermediates and advanced alike will attempt to run 10 km. The event takes place by the Burj Khalifa on Friday the 13th. HHmmm interesting date, we hope nobody is superstitious.

8. The Ripe Food & Craft Market

This Ripe food market is back next Friday in Zaabeel park. With the weather cooling day this is a really nice way to spend your Friday, expect lots of fresh produce, good food, artists, designers and lots of local businesses so if you're in the area definitely go and support!

10. Blue Live in Dubai

Dubai has been host to a few classic cheese 90's bands recently (*ahem Take That) so this is just the cherry on top for any 90's fans. Blue are hitting the stage Friday at 6.30 (what's with the early start time?) at the Emirates Golf Club.
