Baby Hawksbill Turtles Are Washing Up On The Beaches And Anyone Who Finds One Is Being Urged To Help

Beachgoers who spot baby turtles that may be sick or injured are being urged to help.

It’s the time of year that Hawksbill turtles wash up on UAE beaches, and some are in distress, or ill – with barnacles on them often an indicator that they’re sick.

The Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project helps the UAE’s turtles recover and returning them to the sea.

Anyone who finds a turtle in trouble on the beach is urged to contact the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project via Facebook messenger.

These little guys were rescued and are being nursed back to health

The barnacles often fall off the turtle when it’s recovering.
