Mark your diary because this is a BIG deal!

BBC Proms, the world’s largest classical music festival, that’s now in its 122nd year, is coming to Dubai Opera for six concerts between 21 and 24 March. This is your chance to experience some of the music, talent and tradition the festival offers and you’d be crazy to miss it – especially when around 600 standing (promming) tickets will be on sale for each concert at prices as low as AED 50 each.

Another reason why the event is a big deal: it will be the first time that BBC Proms is coming to the Middle East. In fact it’s only a second trip abroad. The first was in Australia in April 2016.

On stage:

You’ll see conductor Edward Gardner and pianist Benjamin Grosvenor join BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Last Night Of The Proms

The programme includes:

Core classical repertoire, British music and new music. Also featuring in the festival are composer Mohammed Fairouz, Dubai-based British composer Joanna Marsh and Australian-Egyptian composer Joseph Tawadros.

The finale:

The series of six concerts will close with the traditional Last Night of the Proms, where Edward Gardner will lead the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Singers.

Plus there’s a learning programme:

This includes workshops, masterclasses and open rehearsals providing budding musicians and singers with the opportunity to develop their skills and engage with the performers.
