This Talented Dubai-Based Designer Has Won An Award In New York
People out here are creative. You spot their work at fashion, design and even art events in the city. But this resident’s creativity has been recognised outside Dubai. Scottish-born Cathleen Nicol, founder of label C.Nicol, won an award for the ‘Best Resort Bag’ at the 10th annual Independent Handbag Design Awards – an event that celebrates new talent in accessories design. More than 1,500 entries had been submitted and her design was the winning one among the ten that had been shortlisted. She received the award at School of Visual Arts Theatre in New York. Congratulations Cathleen!
