Dubai Just Broke The World Record For Most Nationalities To Carry The Same Flag
Another day, another Guinness World Record for Dubai.
And this one feels pretty special, as it highlights the incredible number of nationalities living side-by-side here in the UAE. 5,000 people from 58 nationalities broke not one but TWO Guinness World Records at Dubai Police Academy on Thursday.
Dubai Police had invited residents to take part in the world record-breaking attempt and broke one for the most people to carry a flag and the second for the highest number of nationalities to carry a flag on record.
58 nationalities came together
The flag was 2,020 metres and is reportedly also the largest flag in the world
The flag length was a nod to EXPO 2020 and also to mark UAE National Day and Year of Tolerance.
