Dubai Continues Its Knack Of Winning Global Conferences

Remember all the excitement in the air when Dubai won the Expo 2020 bid? Well, it's time to celebrate again. This time it's a win for the real estate industry. Bravo! The official convention bureau, Dubai Business Events and the Dubai Real Estate Institute (the education arm of the Dubai Land Department) together delivered a successful bid for hosting the 69th World Real Estate Congress in Dubai in 2018. Organised by the International Real Estate Federation, the annual event will be a first in the Middle East and is set to attract more than 1,000 real estate professionals from over 60 nations.
What does this mean for Dubai?
A boost in the city’s growth as a leading global hub for investment. Plus, the announcement will contribute towards its maturing real estate market that strives on innovative developments and a healthy regulatory environment.
CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Issam Kazim said:
"Our successful bid reflects the country’s acclaimed top ranking as a global investment haven and the emirate’s strengths in attracting and hosting international business events of the highest calibre."
Director General of Dubai Land Department, HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren said:
"Winning this acclaimed event is a testament to the significant strides taken by the Dubai real estate market in recent years. The fact that the Emirate has been chosen as the first city in the Middle East to host this event demonstrates how Dubai has emerged as the pre-eminent real estate hub for the region."
