Dubai Peeps: Update Your Emirates ID Today To Not Lose Access To Your Bank Account

Everyone who lives in the UAE and has a bank account are being advised to check and get their Emirates ID’s updated TODAY before they completely lose access to their bank accounts.

This is, in part, due to The UAE Central Bank’s ruling to have every banking resident customer’s Emirates ID details to enforce a new initiative that aims to ‘know their customer’ in all financial sectors.

A couple of banks in the UAE have already implemented this (and had announced it earlier)

Like RAKBank, for example, who has requested for its customers to update via digital banking measures, an SMS update, heading to any of the branches or in ATMs.

More banks in the UAE are urging customers to to take action and update their deets STAT.
