Doing This One Thing During The Fog Can Result In Heavy Fines

Just about everybody may have noticed that Dubai has been seeing more than its fair share of fog the last couple of days (trust social media to not let it slide for even a bit).

And while it can make for a very pretty sight, it is also extremely dangerous to be driving around in it when visibility becomes extremely low.

This is why the police have asked drivers to stop driving when the visibility level drops to zero and park their cars in a nearby safe are

When they park their cars then drivers can turn on their hazard lamps to alert other motorists.

(Also, public transport and workers’ buses are required to stop driving on all roads of the emirate during foggy weather conditions and when visibility level drops to less than 50 metres.)

The Abu Dhabi Police have also now stated that drivers who who turn on their hazards lights while driving during foggy weather conditions will be fined AED 500 with four black points
