Some Dubai residents got to enjoy free drinks at the Dhow and Anchor last night, in Jumeirah Beach Hotel, all thanks to England’s victory at the annual international rugby championship on Saturday.

A Jumeirah bar manager was so confident Ireland would win the annual 6 Nations rugby championship vs England last week that he bet the ENTIRE pub a drink and that he’d wear the English jersey for the next seven days.

England lead a 32-20 during the opening-weekend of the championship, leading to the manager Tadgh’s moment of defeat.

He took it upon the bar’s official Facebook page to announce that he is a man of his word…

“Oh dear, what a game though, free drink going out to everyone in the house and I’ll be wearing this England shirt for the next 7 days…”

Taking the defeat to the next level, English residents have even suggested he change his name for the week
