ANNOUNCEMENT: There Will be FREE Parking in Abu Dhabi For New Year Holiday

Residents of Abu Dhabi will enjoy free parking during the New Year holiday, the Integrated Transport Centre at the Department of Transport – Abu Dhabi announced in a statement.

The parking will be free of charge starting from 12.01am on December 31 to 7:59am on January 2.

New Year holiday

While the public sector employees get to have a two-day leave, i.e on Sunday, December 31, 2017 and Monday, January 1, 2018, the private sector will ONLY get one-day leave, on January 1, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

The work will resume from Tuesday, January 2 for both sectors.

All the buses will operate according to their usual schedules on the holiday.
