Fruits And Vegetables From Five Countries Have Been Banned in The UAE

Avatar

Fruits and vegetables from five countries have been banned in the UAE due to high pesticide residues.

The ban, issued by the Minstry of Climate Change and Environment, is on apples from Lebanon, and peppers from Egypt, carrots, melons and watercress from Oman.

Also included are beans, cabbage, cauliflower, eggplant, lettuce and squash from Jordan and all types of fruit from Yemen.

The ban will begin on May 15

It’s no reason to panic if you have ingested produce from these regions – the UAE has stipulated that these products exceed the maximum pesticides allowed on the produce.
