Global Village Set A New Record By Making More Than Six MILLION Guests Happy
Marking the end of Global Village’s 22nd season, the multicultural park set out a new world record on its closing night by achieving nine out of ten on the Happiness Index.
The popular family destination closed its doors on April 7 after a fantastic display of fireworks and entertainment the park had ever seen before.
Global village’s 22nd season had the biggest shopping, dining, concerts, shows and events, games and entertainment festivals than ever before.
More than six million smiles
Global Village has made more than six million visitors from over 95 nationalities, extremely happy inside the premise.
It completed AED2.9 billion of business transactions and hired manpower from more than 75 countries.
Here’s some of Global Village’s most memorable events in Season 22
1. Liam Payne’s hit concert
The international pop-star was brought out to sing at a concert in Global Village and had a huge guest turnout of more than 110,000 people!
23 other concerts took place at the venue and have entertained thousands of people at a time – Amr Diab, Nancy Ajram, Tamer Hosney, Shreya Ghoshal, and Ali Khan were amongst the singers who performed on stage.
2. Largest Cup of hot Tea in the World
Achieving a Guinness World Record of having the world’s largest cup of hot tea, Global Village managed to make 5,000 litres of hot Karak tea in a single cup!
Standing more than 4.7 metres tall, the world’s largest tea cup served more than 50,000 guests.
That’s a loooot of Karak tea!
3. Addition of new pavilions
Season 22 at Global Village saw the opening of new pavilions – Bosnia, Balkans, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
These new countries were added to the existing 75 countries across 27 pavilions at Global Village.
4. Lots of fantastic entertainment shows
One of the regions most exciting mega Monster Stunt Show took place in Global village, it featured exciting movements and action with new and bigger range of technologies, tools, cars and bicycles!
The Main Cultural Stage also hosted several unique shows including Tall Tales, one of the world’s most high energy and acrobatic shows.
5. The region’s first car boot sale
Global Village hosted it’s first ever car park sale that allowed people to reserve a car parking spot for just AED150 and sell whatever they want!
UAE residents got a chance to earn some cash by selling their unused or unwanted items AND gain some cash over the weekend. How awesome is that!

It’s undeniable how many people got to enjoy and explore Global Village’s multi-cultural destination and we can’t wait to see what more exciting things are in the works to happen.
Six million people this year and probably more to come next year.
