The Government Is Making Sure No Markets Up Their Prices During Ramadan With 4,500 Products Capped
Prices on 4,500 items will be fixed during Ramadan under a ruling by the UAE Ministry of Economy.
Inspections will be conducted throughout the Holy Month at 450 stores, to ensure prices of products are not raised throughout Ramadan.
According to reports, 125,000 tonnes of produce is in stock within Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and an additional 25,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables will be imported daily to cope with demand.
