After nearly 40 years Johnny Clegg set the international music scene on fire, he is about to repeat history in our city.
Bringing his unique Western/South African hybrid rhythms to life at the Dubai Opera as part of his final world tour, titled ‘The Final Journey’, he will be in Dubai just for a night, on September 20.
The tour represents the peak of a career that has combined international success with sustained – and significant – social, political and cultural impact
What makes him so unique is that he pioneered a uniquely South African, hybrid music during a time of cultural and racial segregation helping break down barriers offering a possibility of a non-racial future.
