Cancelling Your Mobile Contract Now Means Less Charges Thanks To The Year Of Tolerance

What a year to be living in the UAE, with vast efforts being contributed for The Year of Tolerance.

So now, everyone that’s on a mobile phone contract will have cancellation charges halved- even if it’s an early termination.

Just because, you know, tolerance. The UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (RTA) announced the new update via Twitter on Wednesday.

YAAAAS! Users can now only pay ONE month’s rental fee (when cancelling)

…as opposed to the earlier charges based on the rest of the months left stated in the contract.

There’s only one catch, however, the update will only apply to NEW subscriptions BUT not to worry because older contracts will soon avail this too.
