RTA Has Opened A New 420-Metre-Long Tunnel Linking Happiness Street With Meydan Street
In its bid to improve the connectivity and traffic flow in Dubai, RTA has opened a new 420-metre long tunnel providing a left-turn from Happiness Street to Al Meydan Street.
It’s a part of the recently opened second phase of the Parallel Roads Improvement Project in the Business Bay District that means traffic congestion on the busy stretch of the area will be eased significantly.
The announcement was made on RTA’s official Twitter account

This ambitious project has ALREADY seen the construction of the following:
- A 240 metre-long flyover at the intersection of the Happiness Street and Burj Khalifa Boulevard
- A 535 metre tunnel at the intersection of the Happiness Street and the Business Bay Street.
- A 500 metre bridge along the extension of the Happiness Street crossing over the Dubai Water Canal,
- A 420 metre bridge at the intersection of Al Meydan Street and First Al Khail Street.
- A 340 metre-long tunnel as Horse Crossing at the Dubai Stables.
