One of the most anticipated events in the country is Pope Francis’ landmark visit to the UAE.

The itinerary of his maiden visit starts from his arrival at the Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport on Sunday, February 3, followed by the International Interfaith Meeting on Human Fraternity on Monday, February 4 and with the holy Papal mass taking place on Tuesday, February 5 at 10.30am at Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi.

And now the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia (AVOSA) has announced the registration for the holy mass can be done online.

People from the UAE, Oman and Yemen can register online on the official website here. The deadline for registration is January 21, so RUN!

A spokesperson from AVOSA said:

“As this is a visit to the AVOSA, tickets are reserved primarily for the local faithful. However, we understand that this is a rare opportunity for people living nearby to see the pope. So, there will be seats reserved for visitors from the Northern Vicariate (AVONA – Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain) as well.

Details on distribution policies are being worked out. We will have more information regarding this on our website very soon.

Members of all other parishes are asked to please wait until an official announcement is released by their parish. They could also check their parish website for updates.”

Non-GCC residents who wish to attend the mass can apply for a very limited number of tickets here.

Also note: No one will be allowed to enter the premises without a ticket.
