The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is being held at Dubai Marina

It’s been announced that Dubai Marina will be hosting the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series final on October 28th this year. Never heard of it? Don’t worry…The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is one of the most adrenaline-inducing competitions in the world where the competitors literally dive off cliffs. This is one event that should definitely not be missed.

Ok, so we know exactly what you’re thinking: What cliffs?! Well, since cliffs are next to none in Dubai, Pier 7 has stepped up to the challenge and have been announced  as the location for the finale of the 2016 series. Woohoo!

As you would expect, since the first competition in 2009, the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series has grown steadily and is now one of the biggest spectator sports that have come to us, courtesy of Red Bull. It’s said it takes around three secondds from take off to landing and  that those taking part can reach speeds of up to 85kph before they hit the surface. Yikes!
