The Burj Al Arab’s new bar Gold On 27 is opening it’s doors to the public next week

We’ve all been waiting patiently for the announcement that was made this morning: Gold on 27, the Burj Al Arab’s newest and swankiest lounge bar, is set to open it’s glossy golden doors to the public in just over a week, on April 8. We couldn’t be more excited! Located on the highest level of the iconic landmark, the new bar has a stunning view of the Arabian Gulf as well as the Dubai skyline.

Not only does this bar boast a good view but, for those of you who enjoy sipping on a tasty cocktail, it’s also claiming to host ‘masters in the art of mixology’ who will be using a unique selection of premium brands and quite frankly, unusual ingredients such as truffle, saffron and even goat’s cheese to make the top notch concoctions (hmmm we’re not too sure about the last ingredient either). The cocktails will be, without a doubt, the main event at this new addition to the Dubai social scene and we can’t wait to taste one ourselves!

Now, we all know how hard it is to get your paws inside the doors of the Burj without a reservation. Thankfully though, the hotel has promised to make the bar a lot more accessible to the public and has designed a new app, for both iOS and android, that allows you to make a booking for the bar on the day of your visit. Hear hear.

“The Burj has a reputation for being very difficult to get into and for being very exclusive, but we’re trying to breakdown that boundary; we don’t want it to be inaccessible,”

“The dress code will also be more down-to-earth – no fancy suits or top hats”

Paul Bradley, General Manager

Open daily from 6pm to 1am, you can expect to pay any where from AED 100 to AED 140 for a cocktail. Bar General Manager Paul Bradely has stated that he’s been lucky enough to “redo” the pricing of the Burj Al Arab so the prices in the bar are actually less than in the rest of the hotel (even more good news). Music wise, internationally acclaimed resident DJ Darko De Jan, formerly of Armani/Prive, will play deep, soulful house and lounge tunes every night from 7pm to 1am in order to keep in with the lounge bars atomosphere.

We’ll see you all there!

Opening hours: Open every day from 6pm to 1am, with live DJ daily between 8pm and 1am, to make a booking call 04 301 7777 or visit Burj Al Arab.
