And The Winner Is: The Foodie Vote Winners Have Been Chosen
We asked and you answered.
Then we took the thousands of nominations and whittled each topic down to a shortlist of five outlets per category – as per the public’s choosing.

We asked for the public to decide – to vote on the shortlisted candidates, to decide who the winners were!
Last night, the winners were awarded at a special ceremony hosted at the beautiful El Chiringito Dubai on the Palm Jumeirah.
And so, after thousands upon thousands of votes, here are Dubai’s Foodie Vote winners.
1. Best biryani, Naya: Jumeirah Beach Hotel
The beautiful Naya located within Jumeriah Beach Hotel was voted best biryani in town – a rather contentious topic but with thousands of votes from the public, it’s official!
2. Best coffee: Single Fin Dubai
Located within the Surf House Dubai, Single Fin brews up some of the best in town, particularly with its huge range of offerings.
The trendy beachy cafe’s owners are passionate about coffee – and it shows. They’re also launching a new coffee offering in October!
3. Best burger: Five Guys UAE
Sadly the Five Guys reps weren’t able to make it, but it was voted the best burger in the UAE.
4. Best shawarma: Mezza Kitchen, JLT
Mezza Kitchen in JLT is a family-owned joint, run by Laura Nahas and was voted the best shawarma in town.
5. Best burrito: Chalco’s Mexican Grill
Winning by a landslide, was Chalco’s Mexican Grill in JLT. A labour of love by owner Edgar Jimenez, Chalco’s burst onto the JLT dining scene in January of this year and has already established itself as a Dubai hotspot.
