This is set to be Dubai’s coolest new hotel stay

Things have been a little quiet on The World islands for a while now but hopefully that’s about to change. The St Petersburg Resort or the ‘Heart of Europe Resort’ as it’s being called (it’s in the shape of a heart) is set to open in October this year (well, that’s the plan anyway). The hotel looks like it’s going to be as fancy as things come in Dubai…which is full-on fancy then.

The part we’re most excited about is the hotel’s floating villas. Three floors of utter luxury with the lower floor, housing the bedroom and bathroom, totally submerged underwater…pretty breathtaking, right?

Each ‘Floating Seahorse’ – as the villas will be called – weighs 188 tonnes and features 269sq ft of underwater glazing and a 495sq ft coral garden.

The sea level area will be fitted with a kitchen, dining area, open-plan living area and sun deck.

The upper deck comes complete with a mini bar, kitchenette and glass-bottomed Jacuzzi. The deck can also be converted into a winter bedroom with retractable drapes.

Sounds like the perfect place to get away and relax, although we’re not sure how much a night in a ‘Floating Seahorse’ will put you back. Let’s not worry about that…here’s all the awesome pictures of what it’s going to look like…
