We Could Be Using Apps To Catch The Flying Taxis Pretty Soon

Everyone got pretty excited with the announcement of the autonomous aerial vehicles and now it looks as though you’ll be able to catch one via Uber – with a new partnership announced. 

Uber and RTA have signed an agreement to make the flying cars happen, as the Dubai Future Accelerators Programme for 2017 finished up.

It means Uber and the RTA will work together on the flying taxis, which are set to launch in July this year (inshallah). 

“What’s important to Uber is that this is an affordable situation and until we get to the point where flying to work is cheaper than owning a car, it doesn’t become a true replacement solution for everybody. My goal is ultimately to make sure that it is cheaper than car ownership.”
