What's going on at the Burj Al Arab?
New bar set to open in January
The weather's nice again and every mate back home wants to visit. And every one of them wants to get inside the 'world's best hotel' The Burj Al Arab. You've seen the inside of the hotel's Skyview Bar so many times now, the staff are starting to wonder if you actually work there.
Well worry not, there's some good news. The seven-star hotel is to open another bar on the 27th floor - just adjacent to the Skyview Bar, and just like the existing bar it will offer amazing floor-to-ceiling views of the city and the Arabian Gulf.
The exact date of the opening is still a bit hush but is likely to be January, with the name of the venue to be announced in the next few weeks. (Of course, we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything.)
The new bar is part of the Burj Al Arab's huge expansion plans that include an upgrade to the Bab Al Yam poolside restaurant and the neighbouring outdoor pools (rumour has it that the huge pools are being constructed in Norway and will be shipped over once finished). The restaurant will feature an interactive kitchen with a signature brick oven located in the centre.
There are also rumours of an extension to the man-made island that the Burj Al Arab sits on, with the addition of a new beach area and more restaurants.
We all know that the Burj Al Arab doesn't do things by halves, so we can't wait to see all the plans in place. Watch this space for updates!
