Why is Bette Midler hating on Dubai?

Hey!!! What’s up Bette? Why wouldn’t you want to come to lovely Dubai? Why are you being so negative about our lovely Emirate?

We were a little surprised when singer, songwriter, actress, comedian, film producer and all-round superstar, Bette Midler, took a pop at our beloved Dubai. In, what seemed like a random tweet, on Sunday, she declared: “Nothing would ever get me to go to #Dubai. NOTHING.”

What’s brought on this rather rude comment? We would love you to explain yourself…as would many many others it would seem. Bette’s comment received a fair bit of interest, with hundreds of retweets, favourites and replies…including many asking her: why?

Of course, there were many who agreed with her (probably the ones who don’t have a passport) but an equal amount sticking up for our great Emirate. We think it’s only right that we join them in convincing Bette that she should visit. Drop her a tweet @BetteMidler and tell her why she should in fact be #LovinDubai.
