20 Mouth-Watering Baked Treats You Need To Try Before You Die

Avatar

Okay…we have to admit we’ve been a little cheeky. While the ideal way to celebrate this day would be to bake a cake for your loved one, we’ve decided to bend the rules (just a wee bit). Forget the tins, cooling racks or pastry brushes. Step out of the kitchen and instead indulge in some of the delish treats the city’s eateries have to offer. (Word of advice: don’t bother counting calories today).

1. The Speculoos Fondant from The Surf Cafe

If you haven’t tried this you haven’t lived. Molten.

2. Cinnabon (from AED 11), Mercato Mall, Marina Mall, MOE

Get the Pecanbon. Do it. Do it now. It’s quite possibly one of the best creations known to man kind.

3. This Chocolate Brownie from Gaucho, DIFC

Alternatively the sticky toffee pudding served at their brunch? WOWOWOW

4. Nutella cake (AED 70) at Sugaholic, Karama

HOLY MOLY.

5. Box of gooey chocolate cookies (AED 50) at Home Bakery, Galleria Mall

Ideal for sharing, if that’s what you’re in to.

6. The Burj Al Arab at The French Bakery

Ok so you might have to order this one a bit in advance….but it’d be worth it purely for the instagram shot.

7. These Cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery (The Dubai Mall)

Now, that’s what we’re talking about.

8. Pecan pie (AED 38) at Clinton Street Baking Company, Downtown Dubai

9. The Treasure Chest Box from Serendipity 3 in Festival City

This doesn’t even need an explanation. We’ve already talked about this before. OUTRAGEOUS.

10. Pavalova (AED 22) at The Sum of Us

11. Red velvet fudgy brownies at Brownie Blues, Jumeirah Plaza

Oh hello.

12. “Baked” Milkshake from Fumé, Pier 7

Ok, so the milkshake part itself may not be baked but the brownie bit on the top definitely is so it still qualifies!

13. Apple Pie from The Hide

Comfort food for a Saturday afternoon.

14. A Sakura Cube at Yakitate

A cube of delight, more like.

15. Nutella Jar (AED 40) at Ribbons & Balloons Bakery, Deira

The pic says it all. Messy.

16. This at Spontiphoria

This doesn’t have a name but if it did it would be heaven.

17. Macaroons (AED 12) at Laduree, DIFC

If you’re feeling a posh treat.

18. Chocolate Fondants at Baker & Spice, Jumeirah

These just ooze goodness.

19. This Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter frosting from Roseleaf Cafe

A gift to man-kind.

20. Tarts (from AED 22) at Provedore, Sunset Mall
