Each week we’re all looking for fun and unusual things to try.
It’s not always easy to find stuff, but luckily we’ve teamed up with the guys at Dubai Eye’s The Ticket to bring you all the fun stuff to do this week.
Every Sunday, our team works with Mark and Stef to source the fun, fanciful and adventurous stuff to do around town.
You can podcast the show at Dubai Eye’s website.
But before you do that, here’s your week sorted.
Sunday: Mark it in your diary
The new Marks & Spencer Food is open in Dubai Marina Walk and residents are going batty for the foodstuffs.
Head down and check it out now.
Monday: Go potty
Pottery classes are happening every Monday from 10.30am, thanks to the Yadawei Ceramic Studio in Al Quoz.
Whether you’re a beginner, or advanced, these two-hour classes will teach you everything you need to know.
Tuesday: Life’s a beach
The beautiful beach club at Rixos The Palm, El Chiriguito is one of the most Instagrammable spots in town. And it’s giving everyone free entry every Sunday-Wednesday.
So get down, and enjoy the gorgeous facilities.
Wednesday: Johnny be good
Head to Dubai Opera tonight to see the talented Johnny Clegg live in concert.
It’s his final tour (aptly named ‘The Final Tour’) and will showcase his unique style of Western pop mixed with African Zulu.
The show starts at 8pm, so don’t be late!
Tickets are from dubaiopera.com
Thursday: Let’s go to LEGO
The Bricks Festival is happening at Dubai Festival City, celebrating a world of everything LEGO.
There are scale models of Dubai’s own LEGOLAND, as well as LEGO car races, and a treasure hunt around the mall – if the kids find all four LEGO toys around the mall, they can win a prize! It’s from 10am-10pm.
Friday: Happy blues music
Hot UAE-based band, Carl and the Reda Mafia burst onto the Dubai music scene when they won Battle of the Bands at Al Ghurair.
They’ve since played huge gigs like opening for Bon Jovi at du Arena, and played at Beats on the Beach, and now you can see their awesome funk rock tunes live at Blues Bar on Friday nights from 8pm.
Saturday: Active Nation
Get fit in a fun environment with the Lorna Jane Active Nation day on Saturday.
There will be health and wellness brands popping up, fitness classes and plenty of people to mix and mingle with.
The fitness classes kick off from 7am and are free to attend at 1six8 gym in Jumeriah.
