Looking to reduce your carbon footprint?

It’s quite easy if you just do a bit of research… but if even that’s too hard, we’re here to help!

We have rounded up a few of our favourite brands breaking new ground in sustainable fashion.

And – like everything else in Dubai – they do it with style!

1. Greenheart Organic Farms

Looking for genuine, organic, fruits and vegetables delivered just hours after their harvest? In this desert?

Greenheart Organic Farms’s got you covered!

You can check out their delivery schedule on their website. Once you have identified your delivery area, place your order at the latest by 10am the day before delivery.

You can place your order at the latest by 10am the day before delivery. Once they know what is needed for the following day, they will put together a harvesting schedule and work towards it.

All the produce is then boxed and delivered to you literally hours after the harvest.

All produce is sold either the end consumer which is you or to local business and not to third party traders which is why you can’t find them in your local supermarkets, or health food shops

2. My Ex Wardrobe

My Ex Wardrobe is Dubai’s answer to sustainable fashion – and it is all about giving your clothes (as well as yourself!) a second chance at happiness.

They offer regular pop-up-shops for pre-loved fashion (specialising in high street brands and designer labels) that bring together sustainable shopping, socialising, and pampering evenings.

3. Fairgreen International School

Dubai’s first ‘sustainability-focused’ international school (yes, that is a thing!) will be launched next year!

Fairgreen International School by Esol Education will offer the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum of education but will also incorporate sustainability, urban agriculture, and eco-entrepreneurship as an integral part of its educational programme.

And the admission process begins this month!

4. The Organic Glow

The Organic Glow salon claims to be committed to sustainability in all its practices – all the way down to eco-friendly interiors.

All their products are sourced from reliable brands that don’t use toxic chemicals, follow strict environmental policies, never test on animals, and fully disclose their ingredients and organic certification.

The salon also doesn’t offer any nail enhancement treatments, bleaching services, or hair colour that contains ammonia.

5. Wild and the Moon Café

Wild and the Moon Café in Dubai’s Al Serkal Avenue is not just great for vegans – it is also good for the planet.

They uses local suppliers and biodegradable packaging, and strive for 0 per cent waste – reviving, for example, the pulp from juices and leftover nuts into crackers.

6. Greenshine Car Wash

Greenshine is a Dubai based transport vehicle cleaning service that uses biodegradable organic products instead of water.

Not only does this contribute to saving gallons upon gallon of water wasted per car wash, it also elongates the life of the body paint and interiors as water frequently corrodes and rusts nuts, bolts and other electrical connections!

7. The Green Ecostore

The Green Ecostore is a Dubai based e-retailer that has partnered with eco manufacturers from around the world.

They sell a range of eco-friendly products that cater to, both, corporations and individuals – including kitchenware, stationery, garments, and even toys!
