7 Things Everyone Is Looking Forward To Now That It’s Cooling Down Outside

The weather is slowly but surely dropping in degrees, after three long hot months of being stuck indoors.

We’ve all been counting down, and now it’s just about that time of year where we can head outside and ENJOY.

Here’s what’s finally happening.

1. EVENTS

It’s slowly climbing to peak Dubai events season – there’s PLENTY of sporting events, The Color Run, Tough Mudder, Spinneys 92 and triathlons to look forward to AND party season.

All the stars will start visiting Dubai, HELLO music season, not to mention super-fun weekends like the Rugby Sevens, DP World golf championship, along with Dubai Fitness Challenge and LOADS more.

2. Al fresco bars

All the best outdoor places are reopening and it’s FINALLY fun season. Beach clubs, rooftop bars, restaurants and the like are all letting us back in.

Lunch is always best served outdoors when the weather is good.

3. NOT having to catch taxis 100m down the road

Basically it’s a relief we can now walk places without melting – those taxi fees can get expensive for every AED12 trip you take around the corner.

It’s great weather for walking, running, and strolling.

4. Watersports

It sounds silly – but – it really does get too hot for watersports.

Now it’s a tad cooler (but not too cold), it’s the perfect time to get out there on your paddle board, wake surfing or jet-skiing!

5. Not being burned alive by your car

There’s nothing quite like being branded by the fiery iron of your seatbelt buckle in Dubai summer.

Now it won’t kill you if your car isn’t parked in the shade. Phew.

6. Saving money on electricity

This is a big one. AC chews through power so it’s a relief we can now all open our windows rather than having the AC on full-blast.

7. Everyone’s just in a better mood

When the weather is good, it’s hard to be grumpy or moody. And Dubai is in for some FAB weather, so it’s likely everyone will be all happy and relieved.
