There's A New Art Class Where You Can Paint Underwater And Drink Wine
Set amongst the mesmerizing views of the Lost Chambers Aquarium in the Atlantis dust off your paintbrushes because a new art class is in town.
Dubbed the first "underwater" art class in Dubai it's the perfect place for painting enthusiasts or even complete amateurs like myself.
Now this class is a bit on the pricier side.
At AED 395 it is a bit steep for some paint, but there is unlimited wine and canapes available. You are guided by Dubai artist, the lovely Lillian Mackey from Ireland who will expertly show you how to work with the watercolours to create your aquatic inspired masterpiece! (which you do get to take home and show off at the end)
It is probably the most relaxing thing I've attempted in a while.
Who knew painting was so relaxing? The combination of the setting, the chilled music, the act of painting itself and of course the wine, makes for a great stress reliever. I could have easily stayed there painting for more than the allotted two hours.
It takes place once a month beginning Monday, April 17th.
The class starts at 8.30pm until 10.30pm and it's great if you're looking for something new and different to try.
And don't worry if you lack artistic talent. As someone who hasn't picked up a paintbrush since early childhood I came away quite proud of my masterpiece, but that could have been the wine...
