Us Dubaites are insanely lucky considering swimming pools are pretty much standard in every apartment block or villa in Dubai.

Seriously, it's one of the best things about living here, that and the fact we actually have the weather to sit poolside. Every. Day. Of. The. Year. Just think of all those poor sods who live in cities were you CAN'T laze by the pool after work and every weekend for free!

We hate to admit it however, but sometimes apartment pools just don't cut it. Sometimes we want more. Thankfully, Dubai boasts some of the world's most luxurious hotels which all try to out-do each other with their swanky pools!

So whether you have friends visiting and you feel the need to show off or you just feel like you deserve a little bit of pampering, nothing beats a day spent poolside to rejuvinate and chillax.

Here's out list of the top pools in Doobs:

Ideal for a mid week "sick-day" Downtown

The Conrad on Sheikh Zayed have a mid-week offer to spend a day chilling at their luxurious pool. Who could say no?

Price: AED 125 on a Weekday, AED 175 on a Weekend & Public Holidays

If you're definitely NOT on a budget

This is probably one of the plushest pools Dubai has to offer. Surrounded by Palm trees and cabana's galore, the One & Only on the Palm is definitely worth the splash at least once.

Price: Midweek AED 350, Weekend & Public Holidays AED 500

If you're up for the drive

This place is flippin' unreal. Al Maha Desert Resort is a bit of a hidden gem and boast 43 infinity pools over looking the desert - one for each of the suites! They do of course do day packages for their main pool.

Price AED 550 all week (Lunch included)

If you have guests to impress

And want to splash (!) some cash, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is the ideal spot for it. A 59m infinity pool? Oooooh yes please!

Price: AED 250 all week

For an uninterrupted view of the Burj Khalifa

Sofitel downtown is situated right at the base of the Burj and really there is no better spot for some lazy-day Burj-gazing. Above bar, which is one of our favourite lounge bars, also happens to be right beside the pool. WINNING.

Price: AED 250 (including access to gym, sauna, steam room)

If you're not afraid of heights

This is probably the slickest pool in Dubai. Located in the Cu-ba bar there is a 25m lap pool that over looks the Dubai skyline as well as the lobby below.

Unfortunately the Cu-ba pool is only available for club members and hotel guests but we thought it so awesome it had to be included.
