5 Restaurants HH Sheikh Mohammed Has Been Spotted At In The Last Couple Of Months
It’s impossible to compare rulers of different countries but it’s clear HH Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai is a man of the people.
He takes time to visit restaurants and cafes around the city which is a huge support to local businesses, and since Dubai is such a foodie city (we’ve got over 7,000 restaurants and counting) everyone is keen to know where HH Sheikh Mohammed has been dining.
Here are just some of spots the he has been spotted at in recent months
(A couple of the Lovin Dubai crew were lucky enough to be sitting at one of the following restaurants when HH Sheikh Mohammed visited; they were told that Sheikh Mohammed likes to do regular monthly visits to different areas and the restaurant will usually hear of the visit a couple of hours in advance. His group insists on paying and it’s protocol that during his short visit, only his group will be served during that short time).
1. Laduree Dubai at The Beach
The classically French upscale bakery is famous for it’s macaroons and most recently for a visit from Sheikh Mohammed. A couple from the Lovin Dubai team got a little over-excited as they happened to be at the restaurant when the ruler came to dine last Thursday.
2. Fish Beach Taverna at the Westin Mina Seyahi
The Mediterranean beach hotspot hosted both HH Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan over the course of two days, where they sampled various dishes and relaxed (it was a Friday after all). After lunch, Sheikh Mohammed proceeded to visit the Bubbalicious brunch at the Westin and surprise both brunchers and hotel guests alike.
3. Farzi Cafe at City Walk
The Ruler of Dubai was spotted at Farzi Cafe just last month. The hugely popular cafe is a well known ‘spice bistro’ and eagle-eyed customers were lucky enough to snap a couple of pictures of Sheikh Mohammed when he visited the restaurant.
4. Siraj restaurant in Souk Al Bahar
This is the authentic Emirati restaurant where one of the best greetings of the year took place between Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek and Sheikh Mohammed.
5. Shake Shake burger joint
It looks like HH Sheikh Mohammed was fulfulling his fatherly duties on this occasion at one of Dubai’s favourite burger spots: Shack Shack (or Sheikh Shack as we’ve been calling it ever since). The image of father and son was taken by HRH Princess Haya and it’s extremely cute.
