Six of the best places to get cheesecake in Dubai

Avatar

Rich, moist, dense and amazing – for those in search of a serious sugar hit it doesn’t get much better than a generous slab of cheesecake. From inventive flavours to unbeatable classics, Dubai has almost every single kind on offer. Here are just a few that make us go “mmmmmm”.

The Cheesecake Factory

With branches in The Dubai Mall, JBR The Beach, Mall of the Emirates and Festival City – chances are you will have come across a Cheesecake Factory at some point. And if you’ve never actually dined in one, well, then you’re a fool. Not only do they offer some of the best slices of this American dessert in town, but the prices (and VERY generous portions) are crowd-pleasing. They range from AED 28 for a piece of the original cream cheese pie, but also offer over 25 other flavours such as Oreo which are almost worth getting diabetes for. OK, we don’t really mean that last bit, but you get the gist.

Gaucho

Fancy your cake with a side of posh Argentinian? Then Gaucho’s artisan take on a classic should fit the bill. Their divine salted dulce de leche and hazelnut cheesecake comes with indulgent coconut Italian meringue, salted dulce, milk chocolate ganache and marbled chocolate shard and will set you back a sugary AED 50. Yes, pudding at this DIFC-based eatery is more than you’ll pay in many other places, but wow is it worth every last fil. Prime 68

Located in the JW Marriott Marquis, Prime 68 may be known for their meat – but their afters should get a mention, too. Their cheesecake is some of the best in town, and they have the perfect way for you to experience it: a tea party, of course. This sweet event takes place every Saturday from 2.30pm-5.00pm and costs AED 185 per person. Not only does it feature an entire cheesecake trolly (including an Oreo one, pictured) there’s also an actual chocolate river. Just don’t fall in.

Clinton St Baking Co

Clinton Street Baking Company offer some of the most top notch American cuisine in the Emirates, and their cheesecake (AED 36) is no exception. Smooth, satisfyingly thick and dangerously moreish – it’s beyond good. The secret? It’s made from organic dairy, lemon zest, vanilla and features a traditional graham cracker crust. It proves that the ‘if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it’ approach works when dealing with such a classic recipe.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

The creamy homemade cheesecake with fresh berries (AED 55) at Ruth’s Chris Dubai is worth leaving some of your steak for. Seriously, it’s that tasty. As you would expect, the serving isn’t exactly on the small side, and the deep-dish baked dessert is eye-rollingly rich, so you might have to double fork it with someone else. But we couldn’t think of a better way to end a fabulously filling supper.

Panini

Panini cafe, situated within the Grand Hyatt Dubai, has one of the most purse friendly portions at just AED 24. For those that like their cheesecakes small, perfectly formed and topped with strawberry goodness this place is a must hit. Not only are they beautifully presented, but they pack a seriously creamy flavour punch, to boot. We would highly recommend trying it for yourself. (We’re not done yet!
