The summer months are long, ESPECIALLY when you’ve got littlies running around, but despite the fact that going outside for any length of time is pretty much a no-go for the summer months, you’ve got to hand it to Dubai, for its seriously impressive offering of varied kids activities. From adventure parks and trampolining to mini-cities and multi-sensory fun…. Dubai has it ALL.

10. KIDS HQ, Al Barsha

Within kids HQ, you’ll find four areas devoted to keeping the occupied, from a huge three three floor soft play area that features slides, a ball pit and trampolines, and the whole area is surrounded by a racing track for kids! Plus, additional space for small toddlers makes it fun for all ages.

This spot also has areas to host birthdays and events along with an educational HQ – make learning fun again!

9. Funky Monkeys Playland, SZR

This is your go-to for an indoor soft play area, suitable for kids aged 3-12, Funky Monkeys has a giant soft play area, but it’s also got its own Lego play area, laser games, royal princess makeovers and arts and crafts. This place is hours of fun.

8. Magic Planet/Little Explorers, various locations

Not JUST for residents, even tourists visiting Dubai will have Magic Planet on their hit-list. It’s a one-stop-shop for exciting rides, and with various locations this is handy one to know for parents across Dubai.

For the smallies, check out Little Explorers in Dubai Marina Mall, with a water zone, space zone and play zone, kids (age 3+) are welcomed to be dropped here and the wide variety of activities ensure they’ll be entertained for hours on end.

7. Bounce, Al Quoz

This is a world-class trampoline park and if you’ve ever tried it, you’ll know it’s a super fun way to release some energy… and it’s not just for adults.

‘Junior Jumpers’ (anyone under 110cm) are welcome at reduced prices, (access to parts of the park are limited) and there are also holiday camps here for kids between 3 to 13 years old. If arts and crafts aren’t enough to keep your child occupied, this is the next best thing!

6. We Rock The Spectrum, Jumeirah

Not your simple play area, this is an indoor playground providing sensory play for children of all abilities, with equipment designed to engage the seven senses, promoting physical, emotional and social development.

Focused on child development, kids can join for open gym, drop and go, you can even book this place for birthdays.

5. Splash n Party, Al Safa 2

Because you can’t spend the entire summer cooped up indoors; this waterpark for kids is a prime option to beat the heat. Although you’re fully recommended to avoid midday sunlight and take advantage of the late opening hours (opens daily till 8pm).

4. Green Planet, City Walk

ALL ages will love this place, and if you have yet to visit, use the stifling summer months as your opportunity and just GO!

The Green Planet lets you explore our planet’s fascinating flora and fauna and the City Walk located activity hub features a bat cave, the UAE’s only sloth, over 3,000 plants and animals and an indoor rainforest – so cool!

3. Dubai Sports World, World Trade Center

Hyped as an indoor sports arena for all ages to keep active during the summer months, Dubai Sports World takes over the majority of World Trade Centre for the summer. Featuring everything from tennis and badminton, to a running track and activity course, your kids are spoilt for choice. They’ve got a kids summer camp, or alternatively kids pay AED50 per hour.

2. Kidzania, The Dubai Mall

Kids LOVE this place.

On entry, it looks like a real city, however Kidzania is a replica city built JUST for kids where they get the chance to role-play real world jobs. Kids can try their hand as Dubai Police, Sony Entertainment and even make tasty treats including Fade Fit Kids, get a taste for Kinder and get involved with the media industry.

This is open to kids between four and 16 years and there are 40 role-playing activities in total.

1.Oli Oli, Al Quoz

Ask a parents in Dubai where they choose to bring their kids, and this place gets the number one mention nearly all the time. Oli Oli in Al Quoz is an interactive play museum for kids, designed by passionate parents who have created eight galleries and 40 exhibits inspired by leading educators, artists and developments psychologists. Stimulating, but above all FUN for kids.
