6 Things To Do In Dubai This Weekend To Reignite The Tourist In You
Sometimes we forget to do anything else than what we’ve been doing as a routine for the past few months; maybe it’s time to start exploring the city again and get back in touch with the tourist in you.
Here are six things to do this weekend, just in case you needed a little inspiration:
1. For all the #foodies: Take part in the Dubai Food Festival
Seriously, they’ve got so much going on from tomorrow until March 11, you’re sure to keep entertained. From outdoor fitness classes, food safety talks, dance shows to trying out all the food.
Check out more details here.
2. Watch Mariah Carey or Enrique Iglesias live at the Jazz Fest
Go to the Dubai Jazz festival and see either Mariah Carey on Thursday, Enrique Iglesias on Friday at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Belt your heart out along with the singer’s to their best songs.

3. Go to Jebel Hafeet and experience your own more naturist Burj Khalifa views
Head towards Al Ain to get to this mountain’s highest peak (1,249 metres). Plan a road trip with friends and see something new, it won’t cost you much plus you get to see a different side to the country.
Check out these people’s views, both night and day. Beautiful.
4. Visit museum in Fahidi, check out the cool art and take cool Insta shots at Al Bastakiya
For Dhs3, you get to enter the Dubai Museum in Fahidi, and you get to check out other ones for free in the same area. Experience the city’s rich history, feel and vibes as you stroll though the wonderments of Al Bastakiya’s artsy set-ups.
5. Be a tourist all over again with the Desert Safari packages
There’s loads of great package prices for either you and a loved one or a group of friends, on Groupon. You know you miss the first time you ever got to Dubai and was amazed by the dune bashing, bbq and live entertainment along with that free henna and many photo opportunities.
Granted, you may or may not have seen it already, but you can’t disagree, it will always feel just as fun as the first time.
6. Ride The Abra (at The Creek)
Experience the REAL way to see the creek, take the abra boat ride along with many others between Deira and Bur Dubai. How much for? AED 1.
Yes, it’s true.
