Know any aspiring stars ready to make a debut into the Dubai TV scene? Well, they’re in luck. A new TV drama is on its way to Dubai from the makers of the Dubai-made Parwaaz (Flight), Zee TV and they’re in need of actors.

The new UAE-based show is called Khwabon Ke Darmiyaan (Amidst Dreams) and it comes one year after the last show finished up.

The auditions are being held this weekend, on the 12th and 13th of August at the International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) in Dubai from 1-7pm. All age groups and nationalities are welcome. So, if you happen to know someone eager to climb the acting-ladder, this is an ideal chance to try-out for both speaking and non-speaking roles.

If you’re interested, or if you know someone who is, call 04-4307786 for details.

The show

Khwabon Ke Darmiyaan is set during the 2009 financial downturn and plans to tell the story of a real estate tycoon, based in Dubai, who suffers heavy losses amidst the downturn and with the help of his wife, manages to find redemption.

Bollywood-star, Pakistani actor Javed Shaikh, has landed the part of the tycoon. Although, other lead roles are still yet to be cast.

Since the idea is to represent the city of Dubai, we need as diverse a group as possible. They’ll just have to bear in mind that this is a South Asian production.”

“The show’s story will relate to and inspire non-resident South Asians living in the UAE. It’s a story which gives hope to budding entrepreneurs and hardworking people chasing their dreams in the UAE,”
