A UAE eatery is trying to reduce waste by encouraging diners to bring their own bowls, plates, containers or coffee cups for all of August.
Urban Retreat in Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi is offering a 20% discount to anyone who brings their own – which can be used for anything within Urban Retreat’s venue.
It’s a bid to reduce the staggering 6.5 million tonnes of waste the UAE produces every year.
Urban Retreat is home to 12 rotating food vendors
Serving up dishes like brisket, bubble waffles, seafoods, salads and amazing desserts, and you can BYO bowl or container to any of the 12.
