Team Angel Wolf Completed A Staggering 50K Run In The Soft Sand And It’s Got To Be One Of Their Toughest Yet

Team Angel Wolf, aka the Watson family, with its community of volunteers, ran a staggering 50k in soft desert sand this week, all the while hauling 15-year-old Rio in a custom-made chair.

The team of 10 people, including Rio’s parents, Nick and Delphine, participated in the Meraas Al Marmoom Ultramarathon’s 50k leg with Rio in his custom-built chair.

Rio has been diagnosed with Q44 Deletion De Novo, which means that he has troubles with walking and speaks through sign language.

And on December 15, Team Angel Wolf took to the desert in this harrowing journey

They had helpers to get across the line

It took the team around 13 hours
