According to figures released by BPG Cohn and Wolfe, a Dubai-based PR agency, 71% of UAE resident-consumers are prepared to turn to social media influencers prior to making a decision.

As per BPG Cohn and Wolfe PR, the results clearly show that companies now must take these social influencers seriously and need to listen to what they have to say.

Facebook has proved to be the most popular platform, especially when it comes to all things food, with YouTube coming in not far behind.

Facebook also proved to be the most popular for all things fashion and beauty related with Instagram coming in second place.

“We are working closer than ever with bloggers and influencers and wanted to find out just how influential they have become in a country that is more switched on and digital than many all over the world."
