Abu Dhabi Is Reopening Tourist Attractions With EXTREME Safety Measures In Place

Because A. better safe than sorry and B. Abu Dhabi never does anything halfway.

With putting in place the Go Safe certification initiative, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is elevating and standardising hygiene and cleanliness levels across tourism and retail establishments in the emirate.

Since its launch in June, the initiative has been successfully rolled out at 146 of Abu Dhabi’s hotels. The Go Safe initiative measures include the adoption of social distancing courses, checkpoints for temperature screenings, regular disinfection of all operational areas and COVID-19 testing for employees.

Louvre Abu Dhabi was amongst first venues to obtain the certification

The most recent establishments to get the Go Safe certification include Emirates Palace and the St Regis Abu Dhabi, which have been joined by key tourism sites Qasr Al Hosn and Cultural Foundation in earning the new health and safety – focussed certification.

This hygiene certification ensures that hotel establishments are adhering to the strictest hygiene and safety guidelines, thus providing residents and visitors added reassurance during the pandemic.

With more establishments currently undergoing the assessment process, DCT Abu Dhabi aims to get the entire UAE capital Go Safe-certified by the end of August 2020.

With 80% of Abu Dhabi hotels currently on track to receive the certification, DCT Abu Dhabi has further launched its ‘Rediscover Abu Dhabi’ campaign

Rediscover Abu Dhabi will introduce a diverse range of exciting offers and activations for UAE residents at multiple locations across the emirate
throughout the summer.

These ongoing efforts are to energize the tourism sector as the capital gradually reopens its establishments and services.

‘Rediscover Abu Dhabi’ is a special campaign that provides our local residents and the wider UAE community with the perfect opportunity to reconnect with the joys of Abu Dhabi, including its diversity and authenticity.
