6 Of The Weirdest Stuff Spotted At Design Days This Week

Design Days Dubai is a fair held in the Middle East and South Asia dedicated to ‘collectable and limited edition furniture and design objects’. The exhibition also showcases emerging and well-known designers and artists from all over the world.

It’s a pretty riveting event that also consists of workshops, installations and live performances- showcasing creativity in all forms, here in the Middle East.

Held over the last three days here are six of the slightly odd yet interesting concepts found at Design Days Dubai:

1. Ermmm, will it fall? Will it stand? How?

This geometric table set called “Damascus Revisited” by Fadi has us wondering just how… It looks pretty cool though. 

2. “Eclipse” by @osandoos. A design studio for small objects to larger spatial objects. ⠀

3. This ceramic totem stacked up on top of each other

4. This ‘Remix’ bench

5. Looks like simple bowls? But the history behind it though…

6. The Nike Console (not the shoe brand)

Nike was the goddess of strength and speed, designer Vick, was inspired and created this to showcase … what exactly?

All in good fun, though, if you dig deeper, you’ll find that these are some trivial and engaging concepts. Although, some of these works of art look weird at first glance, there’s always more than meets the eye.
