Few weeks ago Indian expat Dipti Mulani started work on her canvas and today it’s a beautiful portrait of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai.
The young woman posted pictures of her work on Instagram along with the caption:
“Feeling proud of being raised in Dubai and being able to create this artwork.”
She hopes she can gift the painting to the leader. She writes:
“Two Journeys. The first of growing up in Dubai, of pride in calling this city home, of learning from it and being part of it vibrancy. The second of creating this painting, of learning to write his poetry in Arabic, of honouring the man to whom all the credit goes for making this city great, of humbly offering it as a gift to H.H.”
