The TRA Introduced A Happiness Bank And It Might Just Be The Cutest Thing Ever

Avatar

The UAE’s Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA) has just introduced The Happiness Bank as an innovation to spread happiness and gratitude amongst the employees of the company.

The idea is super simple, employees set up a Happiness Bank account, pick their interests, collect points from colleagues (for good behaviour), and then redeem their points through the machine.

The surprises just keep going

The concept was inspired and created by Amna al-Bedwawi, with the initiative to make the UAE’s the happiest country in the world.

The kiosk-like ATM surprises employees with small wrapped boxes once their points have been redeemed, and these have said to contain surprises varying from a spa day to concert tickets and even vacations.

Small things go a long way

Sponsored by Afkari, under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre For Government Innovation, the concept of The Happiness Bank came into reality with contributions from KeyBS with the hopes of stimulating and enriching the culture of employees at the TRA.

The creator of the bank, Amna, and KeyBS, have both shared keenness on promoting the concept amongst other institutions in the private and public sector.

“I work with so many people and usually feel a simple touch of human gratitude goes a long way in enriching inter-personal relationships. It boosts the working culture and brings the best out in the team, and collectively in an organisation.”
