A Man Was Killed With An Iron Bar In Dubai Investment Parks For Smashing His Friend’s Mobile Phone

A 28-year-old Indian man killed another man by using an iron bar because he had smashed his mobile phone against the wall.

According to the case details, the incident happened on June 26, where the defendant was allegedly drunk with another friend in a labour accommodation in Dubai Investment Park.

They used a the flashlight on the phone

The two drunk men had entered the deceased’s room, where he was sleeping, to look for the friend’s Emirates ID by using the torch option on the mobile phone. 

The light had woken up the victim, who asked them to turn it away, but the two men had refused to turn it off causing him to get angry, push the defendant and smash his phone against the wall. 

The friend left shortly after

As the argument escalated, the friend had left the accommodation, whereas the defendant went and found an iron bar which he used against the victim once he had returned back to sleep.

The Indian beat up the man with the metal bar, left it there, and went back to his room until the following day.

Police only found out in the morning

Police and forensic experts only discovered the body after the victim being deceased for over six hours at around 7am in the morning. 

“The victim was found lying on his back – bleeding from his neck and covered with a blanket.”

Police used CCTV footages to discover the defendant and arrest him for premeditated murder. 

The accused admitted he took the victim whilst he was asleep as so he would not try and stand up for himself.
