UAE Residents Are About To Get Ranking For Credit

The Al Etihad Credit Bureau has introduced the use of Credit Scores for UAE residents. People can now secure their personal Credit Scores by visiting the bureau’s customer service centers in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. In order to get your score, a proof of ID must be provided. Using information from various sources including banks, finance companies and telecom companies, customers will be given a Credit Score in the form of a three digit number. The number ranges from 300 to 900, with a low score indicating a higher risk of a consumer reaching default within 12 months. 

“The launch of the credit score is in line with AECB’s ongoing commitment to adopt the highest international standards in credit reporting and enhancing the UAE financial infrastructure,” said Marwan Ahmad Lutfi, CEO of AECB.
