An Evening Stroll Along Here At This Time Of Year Sums Up What Dubai Is Like To Call Home
There are over 16 million people will visit Dubai this year. Most of them will receive recommendations from friends and websites like Lovin Dubai about where to go, and what do do. The usual suspects of tourist attractions will clamor for visitors and many evening destinations will put on great parties and events to get the crowds. Especially on a Friday night like tonight. But there are also around 3 million people who call this home.
If you want to go to one place to see what they are up to, head down to Jumeirah Beach anywhere from Burj Al Arab to Dubai canal and this is what you well see..

There were food trucks galore.. the Pink Burger had music blaring like a night club…
The open air restaurants served fresh fish
There were three volleyball games going on silmutanously
Prayers from the mosque were over heard in the background
Some kids ran along with me as I ran and it just added to a sense of fun and happiness all round
A DJ played some tunes near SALT
Families sat by benches on the beach having picnics and there was a crafts market open until late at night
It’s a 7.5km footpath that runs from the Burj Al Arab all the way to Dubai Canal and every part tells a different story
Little tea shops closed during the early hours of the day come to life in the evening with constant flow of customers
All of this with the stunning back drop of the Burj Al Arab
Everyone is happy in each-others surroundings and it is so peaceful, clean and safe.
After a few days out of the city, I was in a bustling and vibrant Europe city Lisbon, full of street atmosphere, I returned to Dubai today and decided to go for a long run down by kite beach. What I found was a stunning mix of cultures and activities. Normally you would expect such fun and variety at amusement parks, but here along Jumeirah beach it’s for free. For me, it sums up what a wonderful City it is that we all live in.
