Burj Khalifa LIT Up To Mark The Incredible Milestone Of DXB Welcoming Its Billionth Passenger
In the list of Dubai’s remarkable achievements…this one’s probably one of the most special ones!
Dubai International Airport recently welcomed its BILLIONTH passenger– a nine-year-old boy called Arjun.
Arjun and his family arrived Thursday afternoon from Orlando, Florida on Emirates flight EK220…
…and they were given a warm welcome at DXB
I am proud and humbled by this achievement and thank the DXB team, led by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. We are committed to remaining the first choice in transporting people across borders, helping them fulfill dreams, meet loved ones, and discover the world’s wonders. pic.twitter.com/nhMj83ra1i

The DXB has now become the world’s busiest airport with 74.5 million travellers using the airport in the first 10 months of 2018
In fact, it took almost 51 years (from when the airport was opened back in 1960) to reach the 500 million mark in 2011, but took just seven more years to welcome another 500 million.
Just brilliant!
