In the list of Dubai’s remarkable achievements…this one’s probably one of the most special ones!

Dubai International Airport recently welcomed its BILLIONTH passenger– a nine-year-old boy called Arjun.

Arjun and his family arrived Thursday afternoon from Orlando, Florida on Emirates flight EK220…

…and they were given a warm welcome at DXB

And now Burj Khalifa marked this glorious occasion with a special light display

The DXB has now become the world’s busiest airport with 74.5 million travellers using the airport in the first 10 months of 2018

In fact, it took almost 51 years (from when the airport was opened back in 1960) to reach the 500 million mark in 2011, but took just seven more years to welcome another 500 million.

Just brilliant!

The billionth passenger, Arjun, and his family is currently experiencing the best of Dubai luxuries and adventures.
