A Conman Who Had Been Tricking People Every Thursday For The Past Two Years Has Been Arrested

A Dubai-based conman, who has been issuing bad cheques, for the past two-years has recently been arrested.

He would issue a cheque after 1pm on Thursdays and take advantage of the bank’s processing time lag over the weekend, according to Al Bayan.

The man would drive very expensive cars to lure victims into believing he is extremely wealthy

An RTA employee noticed his purchase of a luxury car and his recurring presence at car registration centres.

The employee called an officer to check the man’s identity after seeing him write a cheque for AED5,000 greater than the car’s original value, as a way of apologizing to him for not being able to cash the cheque on the same day as all banks are closed.

The employee was asked to detain the man until police arrived to arrest him.
