A Diversion That Is Opening This Friday Is Going To Majorly Reduce Traffic In Certain Areas
A new traffic diversion, that will open this Friday, is apart of one of the RTA projects that are ongoing in Dubai.
The diversion is apart of the Airport Road Improvement Project, and will see a new flyover for Deira-bound traffic when coming from Al Khawaneej Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
It is part of the first steps of the project and will improve traffic by allowing a capacity of 5,000 more vehicles per hour.

Motorists will use left lanes to take them to the old junction
CEO of RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, Maitha Bin Adai, stated that not only will this decrease congestion, but it will also increase traffic safety as well as reduce transit time on Airport Road to 5 minutes.
The project is expected to be fully functioning and opened by the end of the year.
