Dubai International Airport has welcomed its one billionth passenger, it was just announced…
…and it’s a nine-year old Indian boy called Arjun.
Arjun and his family arrived this morning from Orlando, Florida on Emirates flight EK220, and they were given a warm welcome at DXB.
Even Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated the boy on Twitter

Arjun along with his mother Ramya, father Venkatesh and thirteen-year-old brother Varun, were personally greeted by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports.
What an amazing luck: this is the family’s first visit to Dubai, and they will now be treated to some of the most spectacular Dubai experiences, including visiting the Burj Khalifa and staying at Atlantis, The Palm.
